Incurve
24 ½” h x 13 ½”” w x 5” d
Sometimes you just need to use colour. This red is streaky, striking, and impossible to ignore.
Incurve was named after the chrysanthemum flower type that is known as "irregular incurve" and the term is used to describe the shape of the petals of the flowers within that genus.
The way that the red murrini bend and shift as the glass melted reminded me of this natural phenomenon of flowers. it became the part of the piece that I could not ignore and so the title had to reflect it.
