Dispersion
25 ½” h x 14 ½”” w x 4” d
I like focal points that can be noticed from far away in an attempt to draw the viewer closer so that they can experience the work closer and get lost in the movement and forms within.
This piece is a direct response to some of my other work which I used colour to create a focal point. I am always trying to push myself to find new ways to do the same thing.
In this piece, I created a series of focal points by creating visual voids, rather than by adding colour. The idea is the same but the final piece is very different.
I also changed how the gradient is formed. The gradient radiates out from each clear void, rather than from dark to light from top to bottom.
